Verne's approach to sustainability
We believe in Verne's positive contributions while acknowledging our potential challenges and the role we all play towards building sustainable cities.
Verne embraces the responsibility to our users, communities, the environment, and other stakeholders. We are building a mobility service that contributes to a sustainable future by:
Sustainable development goals
1.
Developing a multimodal ecosystem
Partnering with cities to integrate public transport with our service and helping reach areas not covered by traditional transportation.
2.
Turning excess parking into a public usage space
Replacing the need to use personal vehicles and, in the long run, helping to remove parking spaces. Then, these parking spots can be converted into green spaces, enhancing the wellbeing of people.
3.
Increasing road safety
More than a million people die on the road each year. The autonomous driving system on which our service relies is significantly safer than a human driver, contributing to safer roads.
4.
Reducing traffic congestion
By reducing the need for a second vehicle in the household and providing a connected service, we reduce car use and traffic congestion in our streets.
5.
Positive environmental results
Less air and noise pollution due to internal combustion engine cars being replaced by electric vehicles.
